So once your site has run its course for a while you need to re-evaluate your current revenue and traffic streams and see if you are on track to hit your goals. You will want to measure the data according to the metrics above. Keep a spreadsheet of important statistics so you will be able to see trends over time.

Once you have all the data, analyze it, see if you can see trends, drops or spikes in traffic or revenue. See what monetization strategies are working for you. What keywords your site is being ranked for in Google search. And where the traffic is coming from. Try and pull data from as many sources as you can and analyze what you understand from it that can help you grow your traffic and revenue.
Once you have measured and analyzed the data it is time to do something with the numbers. Make changes in your marketing plan or strategy. Even the smallest changes can help. Once we saw a drop in our traffic rankings we quickly got in to Google and saw they had done an update. From there we were able to develop a new SEO strategy compliant with Googles new demands.
It is important that you are constantly measuring and analyzing the data of your sites. Failure to do so may result in you falling so far behind it may not be worth it to try and recover ground you lost to your competitors.
